Hi Mike:

I use Microstation, export to STL, and use Millwizard $250
(http://www.millwizard.com ) to convert STL to Gcode. I could buy
a more sophisticated progam like Deskproto for ~$1250
http://www.deskproto.com - it used to run for 30 days free
(maybe it still does) if I needed the extra features.

The best place to get the best price on both of those is:
http://www.computersculpture.com

I also write code in 'C' to convert from raw data files to STL.

To interpret the GCode, I use Art Fenerty's Master5
http://users.andara.com/~fenerty/master.htm MasterControl CNC

but have also played with EMC, and kellyware.com 's KCAM.

Hope that helps you.
