Hi, welcome, ok, i dont see any reason why you couldn't use a 486
motherboard replacement, with say a 486dx33 for a processor. next you dont
need a giant hard drive unless you plan to do the cad onboard. I redid my
friends Lagun mill over when his 286 board failed. i used a 486dx33
board/power supply,a 100 meg hard drive and 4 megs of ram,other than being a
bit faster getting the next command the system doesnt know the difference. I
