This is an article that I have quoted from the July, 2001 issue of Nuts and Volts
magazine....
"In an effort to bring Linux to the business and personal desktop, Linux Centers USA
will be installing Linux free on user's computers."
" ...computers will be set up to run a graphical interface, an internet connection
and browser, an email system, and a suite of office applications. To make an
appointment for a free Linux installation, call 800-876-3896, or email
info@... ."
Perhaps the BDI has eliminated the need for this, but for those who are still not
comfortable with the Linux side of things, this could be an enormous help. If anyone
does follow through with this, please let the group know how everything goes.
