Try "Display Electronics" for second-hand - they had Astrosyn Slosyn size 34
(about 110oz/in in old money) - cost when I bought them was about 15GBP

Checkout http://www.alzanti.com/ in the UK - they supply exactly the same
(well they look the same to me :-) drives as Gecko do in the US (not sure
which way the import happens - US to UK or UK to US - maybe even from
Taiwan, although they say that they are made in Camberley UK :-)
Prices are relatively cheap (about 100GBP for the G201) - they have a
special offer on for some stepper drives at 17 GBP which would make a cheap
start I'm sure!
