Hi Alan T,
You're talking about the "3 Axis CNC Hobby Router"? I've seen the
plans, quite extensive. The drivers and motors are UNIPOLAR,
step/direction control. They are using UCN5804B stepper driver chips.
The plans I saw were with 60 oz/in, 'tho, not 174 oz/in. 9" x 24" cut
area. Designed for the Dremel Roto tool. Uses Kerk Motion leadscrews,
and Igus linear bushings (nylon?). Gantry type wooden construction.
Vacuum hold-down! I have a friend who is building one (after I get
leadscrews and bushings to him), so we will have more information
later. Have you seen the plans? Are we talking about the same project?
