None of my experience has been on machines that would use sub routines though.

If you use an arc cutting routine in a sub routine and use cutter dimeter
compensation for each of the 6 cuts in another sub routine, you can do the
whole job with very few lines of code. This way you would only need to
specify the cutting radius (the final radius) one time.
