There's no reason why you shouldn't send all the power through an ESTOP
controlled relay so long as it is wired so that it cannot possibly reset
itself. That is, it need so be wired so that the contacts on the ESTOP
switch MUST be made before the relay will pull in - not like the contactor
on a motor starter.
