Start-up Suggestions?

I just bought an old heavy 3'-4' bed lathe for $100 which doesn't have threading capability. What accessories & tools should I order?
I've been thinking of mounting the hand units to either size of Dremel tool on part of the lathe tool holder to provide a little XY control to do some milling operations inexpensively. Any suggestions for clamps or other advice such as a 90 degree vice?
