CCED International Junkyard War

Hi,

Just wondering if there are any others on the list watching the great
Junkyard War on TV. Had some real great fun watching the Yankees (The
Long Brothers) used a UK Mini engine to humiliate (hammered) the
Pommies? (The Megalomaniacs) from UK in the cross Atlantic junkyard
war. That was real great, clean, creative fun!!!

Wonder if we can have something similar. How about a web-based CCED
junkyard war where list members compete to build the best/most
creative/most innovative/most precise/most repeatible CNC machine
from junks? Perhaps with a fully licensed STLworks for the winner,
and a VectorCAD for the runner up with compliments from you know who.
Perhaps we can have the list mom and mom-in-training as the judge.
That should release lots of creative juices from the enterprising
list members and encourage wider participation.
