Don't you just hate having to register a program only to find your
charged for the next version. So do I. I never charge again for software.
Once you register your entitled to ALL future upgrades at no charge. Master5
tends to change very rapidly, the average time between upgrades has been
about 2 weeks for minor upgrades and 4 months for major ones. Since Master5
is really intended for hobbiests I try to ensure no further payments are
ever requested. If Master5 ever does have spin-offs or programs which are
considered "sold separately", they will be free of charge to all registered
users to the date of release of the spinoffs.
That having been said, If you require an NT version, you should
wait until it is available, I would hate to be pushing vapourware (another
pet peeve) and to ensure no-one is registered and waiting for a different
version, you should only register if you have tried the demo and find the
program suits you. Snags, holdups and bugs can delay some functional plans
forever and I don't want anyone caught up in " What happened to my NT
version " scenario. Writing WDM drivers is somewhat like trying to do cold
fusion, you never know quite what you'll end out with unless your a
professional driver programmer. (and a professional programmer would never
be satisied with the payback from this type of software!!). Master5 will
continue to grow as long as the interest remains in its development, and so
far, it shows no sign of slowing. The NT version will be an adventure in
programming and I'm looking forward to it, but I make no real promises on
when it will become a reality, could be next month, could be late winter,
depending on how hard the XP kernel tries to fight back. My wish list from
users is quite long and I hope to incorporate many of their idea's in the
coming months so that too can slow down Master6's development.
