Should work - The biggest stumbling block would be the video controller.
Compaq use ATI RageII in a lot of their machines which the BDI loves. I
suspect i810/815 chipsets are being used in some of the current boxes. As
you're a local lad, we can probably manage a work round if this is the case.
Side note in support of Open Source Software. Just got a touch screen to play
with, but the recommended driver didn't work. With the source code available,
it has been possible to identify the fault and fix it. Nothing wrong with the
driver, just the screen not communicating as it should by the data sheet.
