As mentioned by others the Gecko drives are an easy way to go and hard to
beat for the money. If you need to keep the cost a little less that the
already reasonably priced Gecko drives you could pick up some of the older
model G201 drives. They have shown up on E-bay and here is a listing for
some that sold previously

I am offering this older model drive without the hassle of an auction.
Interest in the older revision G201 Gecko stepper drives has been very
strong and I am full committed on the first 25 and am taking reservations on
another 25. As promised to the people that jumped on the first group they
