photopolymers (STL) also has the disadvantages of requiring the
creation of support for cantilever parts as the liquid polymer cannot
offer any support, FDM extrude removeable "support" material
simultaneously with the part, 3D printer doesn't need support as the
part is supported by the uncured powder.
LOM (laminated object manufacuring) prototypes looks like wood, but
removing unwanted part can be a real hassle, and unlike STL & MIT's
3D printing where unused polymer/powder can be reused, the "unwanted
part" is non-recyclable making material usage very expensive/wasteful.
