To the Group
Further to my earlier note regarding Renishaw bits, I have
had some responses and they all ask for me to give them a
selling price.
I really have no idea what these bits are worth.
What I can say is that 8 years ago we were selling
at these prices :-
LP2 probe £1200
MP11 probe £900
Probe stylii set £500
MI5 Interface box £450
MA2 Probe Holder £280
Shank Adapters £87
I know they are worth nothing like the prices above,
I do not even know what the current Renishaw prices are
(although I am confident they are as bloated as ever).
The question is what are they worth to you, at what price
would you be happy to buy them. When you work that out
then just email me a bid. With the interest from
the group one thing is for sure, I will ship them to
the highest bidder whatever that bid is. I have no use
for them and would prefer them to be used by someone.
Whatever you decide to bid make sure you budget £50
for shipping costs, I have an account with AMTRAK and I
guess this is what it would cost to ship these from the
UK to the USA. Alternatively you can arrange for your
own carrier to pick them up from me on your acount.
