I just went and looked at a tree mill tonight. Strangest thing I have seen in
awhile. looked like a normal bridgeport type mill as far as the knee and the
table where concerned but the headstock was another story. It has a extra set
of X and Y ways where the bridgeport ram would be. I think that would be
confusing. I am not sure if the ways on the head had graduated hand wheels or
not. I really cant think of too many good reasons for have 2 sets of X and Y
axis. I guess a regular Bridgeport does have 2 Z axis of movement with the
knee and the quill. The guy that owns it is askign around $1500 for it but it
is three phase and I dotn own a converter yet. Any one tell me what I shoudl
be looking for in a mill of the brand. Thank you
