I sugest using a reverse/downcut spiral roouter bit, I get mine in full
carbide from BOEING surplus in Kent Wasington for $5.00 a piece. I pick the
freshly shaprened ones that have a cross center two flute design. they are
the only thing found that cust leaving a clear as before but, I use them on
my pin router in a 3/8" version and make all my tempates ut of them with no
burring, no burning or melting. THe reason for a down cut spiral is it
pushes the work down, pulls chips away is not always trying to lift it off,
and BOEINFG makes miles of stuff from Lexan, Acrylic, Plexiglas, or other
similar stuff. These are ther buiits I would recommned, the rest is over my
head. feed speed etc.. You can call the tool crib on the phone and order the
bits but it is better if you know someone who will hand pick what you want.
Stock varies evrry day. The bits I get there are a higher quality than those
I get from any catalog, and in the airline business they buy good, stuff,
same thing goes for tons of surplus stuff you mght want from ball screws, to
PCs for pwower sullies, this is the deam world of doing it on the cheap,
great first quality surplus at salvation army prices. IF you are fomr ot of
state show drivers license and avid the 10% washington sate sales tax.
