That's strange because two years ago when I bought some 5/8D 5 TPI
rolled ballscrews and nuts from Mc Master they had Thompson labels on
the nuts and the ballscrews were in tubes marked Thompson.

An EXCELLENT Post. Thank you.
A side note: A kerk salesman told me that they were the sole supplier
to Mcmaster for Rolled leadscrews and Anti-backlash nuts. Unfortunately,
Mcmaster does not carry Kerks "Good" Nuts just the cheapy ones. But,
I've seen them run on retail 20K routers day in and day out......
