EMC buffer question

When I run a file everything is smooth up to line 150 of gcode then
each line after that is run in a start/stop fashion. What do I set to
keep the buffer full. I'm running a Celeron 500 with 128 meg.

2048 steps per inch. Avg. speed 45 ipm
