I am in the process of building my first XYZ CNC router table. I will
be using a small trim router as the cutting head. The table will have
X-axis = 36", Y-axis = 24" and a Z-axis of 3-4". I don't plan on
making HEAVY cuts into harden steel. Wood, wax and maybe engraving in Al.
I am a bit confused with all the different termanology of screw types.
Ball-screw, acme screw, polished, etc... I also seen some of the
prices for the nuts! Wow. I hope I am looking at the wrong things.
If these are the correct screws that I'm looking at (McMasters-Carr)
then I think I might look into cog belts (?)
Any recommendations on what I should be looking at?
a McMaster-Carr part number would be nice, if you happen to have it.
Thanks.
