I have a PC lathe that I am converting also. I am going with the Gecko
drives, and servos, did you use the original steppers, larger steppers or
servos. What did you do about the turret, if you have one, also the
threading?
The one I bought had, two out of three switches broken and hanging loose, I
have traced them all out, and now getting ready to use the old emco software
to prove out the steppers, and electroics before proceeding. They will later
be removed.
Please tell us/me more about what you did to your PC machine.
