Advance notice - elimination of StlTrans

As some are aware, we include a copy of StlTrans with each StlWork
purchased. This program is very handy for converting a variety of
file formats into STL for input to StlWork, our low cost 3D surface
machining CAM program.
Effective January 1, 2002, we will no longer offer StlTrans. At that
time we will offer a program called Accutrans. StlTrans was a
derivative of Accutrans that was customized to accompany StlWork. It
benefitted both IMService and Micromouse, the publishers of each
respectively.
Because of several recent and planned ongoing improvements to
Accutrans, we have decided to drop support of StlTrans in favor of
the enhanced benefits available from offering StlWork and Accutrans
together.
All IMService StlWork customers with StlTrans will be given an
opportunity to receive a free upgrade to the latest version of
Accutrans, at no additional cost.
Within the last day or so additional XYZ point cloud to STL
formatting capabilities have been added, including conversion of some
binary and DXF data forms. These capabilities can enhance the
process of converting scanned point data to machinable files or
usable 3D models.

Also we have been asked to offer StlWork 1 as a lowcost entry level
3D system. Target price being $190, also with the prepaid Accutrans
license. If this is of any interest to list members, please e-mail

time to put the package together.
