Shaft Support Rails - Bonding of

Recently someone mentioned that they were using an adhesive to fix precision shafts onto shaft support rails ( the ones that resemble an upsidedown T. Normally they are screwed together.
I have some support rails for 1" ( 25.4mm shaft ) and have some 25mm h6 precision shafts. As shafts are HRC 60, impossible for me to drill and tap them. So info on adhesive used would be useful.
