1440 ticks/inch is what I've heard. Thats 0.000694 inch resolution.
Probably much better than the little mill is capable of. The backlash is
horrendous, I need to take the ways apart and tighten things up. I probably
should also check them to see how parallel they are. The machine was made
from scratch by a friend, now departed, who used it for making model
engines. So it is quite small. But it is bigger than a Sherline, and
pretty much all steel.
