It would appear obvious (to me anyway) if the part is 1" square and 1/8" end
mill is being used, the simple fact that the part is 1/16" smaller all the
way around ( a 7/8" square island) indicates no offset at all is being used
(the centerline of the tool path is following the 1" square exactly). Using
tool radius compensation in one direction would leave a 1" square island
while tool compensation in the opposite direction would leave a 3/4" square
island.
