you can edit the startup files in /etc to disable those services you don't
need for a CNC control (nfsd ,httpd ,ftpd ,sendmail ,and others)
however I've got to add a big fat "_WARNING_" to this
a mistake here can make the machine un-bootable
make yourself an emergency boot floppy and
back-up your original files!!!!!!!!!!
do it BEFORE you start hacking around in /etc
