I use both on the same machine. Vactra does have an odor but, not nearly
as strong as the gear dope.
That's interesting about the coolant/cutting lube. I'll try it on a small scale.
Trouble is tho, the machines they talk of use an entirely different cutting
technology. High HP, negative rake, high speed removal, etc.
