I take it you are running freqmod.o?? If so you need to increase the period
and reduce your maximum velocity. That will keep the system from locking.
You could also switch to steppermod.o, but that would not be quite as
smooth. The trade off is a higher step rate that the motors may or may not
be able to follow due to the ragged pulse train with steppermod.o.
