Robert Langlois had his wire EDM at NAMES in April 2001. It is more
of an EDM cutoff saw than a double-XY wire EDM. So, if you want to
miter thinwall tubing to certain angles and similar tasks, it will suit.
If you want to cut irregular holes in dies, it won't do it without a lot of
manual intervention. He's supposed to have an article in one of the
Village Press magazines, but it has been a while, and I haven't seen
the first installment show up yet. Mr. Langlois is on the net, somewhere,
as I exchanged a few emails with him about the original EDM design
several years ago.
