I'm still learning, so I may be giving to the wrong information or making
it more complicated than it need be.
With that said:
In the CAM module, the merge command allows you to define a top and bottom
contour. Then, in the options tab, you can define how many steps you want
it to take.
Just for kicks, I drew a square and a circle above the square. I then
defined two contours, top, and bottom.
I went into the CAM Module and then defined my cutter and selected "Merge."
I defined that I wanted 10 steps and the top surface to be at 1" above the
bottom. Dolphin drew the toolpath accordingly.
It seemed to do what I was expecting. Not sure if it was what you were
expecting or if I misunderstood the question.
