Hi Garry
Check out Art Eckstein's page www.surfsouth.com/~axtein/dro. I'm
putting a setup together now for my lathe and mill. I found some
encoders on eBay and one in a junk HP printer.

Gday,
Im hoping some kind bloke/bird can point me to a cheap(ish) supplier
of 2/3 axis digital readouts in Australia.
Ive done weeks of trawling the net and the best I can do is in the
AU$1400 region ( about US$700 ) .. and thats waaaay too much for my
limited budget, having just spent a heap on the mill/drill machine
and tooling. Ill take new, used, abused... anything!
Dont need fancy stuff, just a box that shows me numbers and a couple
of scales (600mm and 200mm).
Thanks in advance to anyone that takes the time to answer :)
Garry D.
