This is something that would be similar to your typical engraving Spindle.
Usually a "Top Loading" left hand thread holder on a real long tool,
supported near the bottom with a bearing.

Believe it or not, this is the spindle where I would like a toolchanger more
often than with my router head. I do a lot of engraving in plastic materials.
Between cut "rest" and cut "profile" toolchanges, it gets to be a lot of work
and extra lost time.

The largest diameter tool for these is 1/4". I suppose one could apply some
technique where the toolchanger is fixed and the Z axis comes "up" to change
tools.

I always thought these spindles were a good replacement for the Sherline size
machines. too bad they are a bit pricey....$500 without motor!
