product design in it at work while waiting for the purchase to get
approved. That took so long that the demo time limit expired, but I
was able to move all the data files to another computer and keep
going. We eventually purchased a real copy before I had to see how
much of a wipe clean & reinstall of windows it would take to allow
re-use of the original computer for another 30 days.
Unfortuantely, protel 98 is no longer advertised - they are pushing
the bloated and buggy 99. They might still have 98 on hand if you
call though. (98 with service pack 3 is currently the most useable).
Be aware however that the program does not like certain hardware
(especially video cards) and is much happier under NT than Win 98. On
hardware it likes it is very reliable, on hardware it doesn't, you may
be rebooting a couple times a day.
