Hi All:
For those of you who like to play in XP , or are really bored, :), I have just uploaded the prototype of the Master6 Pulseing engine for XP. I haven't yet got it working under ME or 98SE, and I don't know if it will run in Win2000 ( it should), but I'd appreciate any feedback on the numbers displayed on the test screen.
Install instructions are included in the file. It is a Device Driver and installed just like any hardware. It can be deleted from the ControlPanel under System/Hardware.
Basically, it just opens a window showing how many pulses per second it is doing at the moment. ( locked it to 50,000 but its controllable to 100,000 ) and the average latency, max latency and min for both the main timer and the "WatchDog" timer which is implemented. Since no-one has run it but me, I have no idea how many machines can run it, or what CPU's could have a problem, but it was written to eliminate the pickyness that Master5 can exhibit.
Just install the driver, reboot, and run the test application.
So, If your feeling lucky and would like to see how your fast your windows can pulse....I'd really appreciate any feedback.
Thanks,
