Hello,
I have been looking for encoders to use for creating a DRO for my
lathe using a notebook running DRO4.1 from
http://members.surfsouth.com/~axtein/dro/index.html.
I have come across Encodertech and after talking to them have found
out that they have a LM-25CPMM module that will give a 0.01mm
resolution using 4x edge detection. The scales they have are 600mm
max length but they can be pieced end to end for longer distances.
Has anyone had experience with the Encodertech products?
The encoder info can be found at
http://www.encodertech.com/Data_Photos/OEM_cat_sheet.pdf but the LM-
25CPMM is not listed. It is the same as the LN-12CPMM except with
double the resolution. The modules are $39.00 and the scales are
$49.00
Thanks, Jeff
PS they also have 720CPI module but the scales are only 3" long.
