Mill retro-fit info available...

Hi All!

If anyone has a Bridgeport Discovery 300 or 308 (or any BP vert-mill)
and wants to upgrade the controller H/W, S/W then please feel free to
contact me -- I've got lots of info to share.

Also, I have a ton of BP Dis. 300 VMC eletronic parts to go to a good
home... Boss 5 (SX-15/16) manuals etc.

re: I updated the spindle controllor, replaced the X,Y,Z servo
drives/apms, replaced the old 286-AT with a P3 866 with motion
controller from Galil (1850 model) and Opto-22 relays for everything
else. Tricky part was mating all this up with the old Bridgeport
wiring and working out a circuit to to deal with the Z-Brake.

I'm using Camsoft's CNC controller S/W to drive the beast. I been
using Dolphin's PartMaster and really really like that CAD/CAM
package.

Galil: I'd like to talk with people that use Galil controllers! I
like the card a lot, I'm getting incredible speed and accuracy on my
machine, close to 2/100,000ths of an inch at about 500 ipm!
