license code every six months. Then we have to call them, listen to
sales pitches for new versions that still don't do what we really
want, etc before they will give us the code. Invariably we realize it
has expired when someone tries to run it at 4:59 pm on a Friday - and
last time it took them a couple weeks to generate the code for the old
version we use, due to a bug in their code-generating program. If
remember correctly, it should be up for renewal in another week... oh
joy.
I'd sooner write the functionality we need from scratch than reward
this kind of behaviour by giving materialise money for a new version.
