Gcode generation via Ace Converter

Does anyone have any hints on how to get Ace Converter to generate
gcode without a bunch of "releases"? In Ace converter talk a release
is where it decides to pull the tool up out of the cut, G00 to a
new position and plunge the tool back into the part. I've used Vector
to draw the outline of the letter 's', selected all the pieces in
the order they should be cut and saved as a DFX file. According to
a previous message from Fred Smith of IMService the geometry should
be written to the DFX file in the order it was selected. I assumed that
Ace would follow the geometry in the same order as it is in the file.
Help?
Thanks,
Drew
