Re: [CAD_CAM_EDM_DRO] holes in thin shim stock?

Hi,

Excellent answer Jan, I'd just add that, for very thin shim - like the 0.1
or 0.2mm flat springs in watches, I usually sandwich the shimstock between
two sheets of brass and glue it all together with superglue. Using wood on
very thin stock can allow it to tear so metal is better. The superglue can
be released either by a bit of heat or, if I don't want to risk drawing the
temper, by soaking for a few hours in acetone.
