Pulley/belt to use on an tachometers.

Seeing as there was a thread recently on tachometers, I thought this might be an appropriate topice too...
Awhile ago I bought some nice little motor/tachs (Jon's recommendation really) from one of the surplus houses.
I don't have the unit in front of me, but it has a small little shaft similar to a slot car motor's shaft (probably a 1/16th of an inch or so out of memory). The question I have is what is the best way to connect the tachometers to the leadscrew? I don't know where to find an appropriate pulley that has such a small hole for the shaft. Clearly the tachometer does not have any torque on it, and that means (I think) a fairly simple connection method should work.... maybe even one of those rubber band type belts? Any help or suggestions would be appreciated. Furthermore, if you have source information that is even better.
FYI, I don't remember exactly where I got the tachs off the top of my head. It was from the place that sends
out a catalog which is printed on newsprint. If anyone has a dying desire to know, please contact me off-list
and I'll find out when I get home (or Jon Elson may be able to chime in if he recalls).
Thanks,
