I've got an air cooling gun. The biggest problem with them is the
HUGE amount of air required. If you don't have a 5 hp two stage don't
even try. I use my air gun to cool endmills while re-sharpening on
the tool and cutter grinder.
For milling, I prefer mist cooling. (Don't need to have the chips
blown all over the shop) I like cool mist 77/water but there are many
others. For small projects you can't beat the old squirt bottle.
I've heard many reports that WD-40 in a squirt bottle works great on
AL when you're having trouble with the metal sticking to the end
mill. YMMV
