Assuming we are talking about small ballscrews under 25mm Dia....

Try one of your local bearing suppliers (e.g. BSL) and ask for Thompson
rolled screws and matching nuts. Expect a quote of around £30 each for 5/8"
0.2" pitch. Acme form would probably be available from the same source, but I
don't think it would be much cheaper. For CNC applications, you should be
considering ballscrews anyway.
