OK Bill I'll play this one your way, so this is off list, for now.
Let's take the subject first.
I have no vested interest in this subject. In fact I only made one
post, the reply to Freds "Floating tap holder for CNC's"
From what I read of Fred's post this was entirely ON topic. He even
mentioned adapting it for a Sherline.
My post which I also think followed on topic so far has generated 1
on list and 5 off list requests for a sketch.
I may have missed it but I didn't see one post from the list saying
stop this.
If that does't help the list what does.
As regards helping take a look at my web space. A web site is too
grand a word.
http://homepage.ntlworld.com/machines/
This is just a space I share with people of a like minded interest
over the 5 or 6 groups that I frequent.
You may even spot some files that have been shared with the list.
I even sat down, wrote a spread sheet and shared it with you and the
list on stepper pullies.
I know and accept that the list isn't for commercial guys like Fred,
Mariss, Dan and myself but we are tolerated. What's more we are
needed.
Where else is the newbie to get information?
Does he have to build his own steeper or servo drives, write his own
CAD/CAM software? Turn and rewire stepper motors?

Stepping back and looking at it I'm not fighting for a subject I have
no real interest in and only made one post.
What I am fighting for is to keep things into perspective.
I know sometimes things can get off topic and if they are OT then
fine stop the thread but in this game with a diversified subject
title like CAD_CAM_EDM_DRO it spreads a wide mantle.

Bye.
