Hi Fitch:

That might be possible if Windows is running under Linux as a task, but
its cludgy enough that it would be better just to run Linux EMC alone if
thats the end objective.
EMC is an EXCELLENT package, but few people want to run linux anymore. (No
flames please, I know alot of people do, but believe me , for every person
willing to run linux, theres 10000 who don't want to). I am a unix person as
well, but as a programmer I prefer the power of the windows environment and
people who are not deeply involved in computing don't want to go linux for a
variety of reasons. If Windows was a realtime system EMC would already be
running on it and the linux version would die a slow death just due to the
amount of EMC upgrades that would happen in windows and not get ported back
to linux. In the end, if you can run EMC and you don't mind linux, then I
can't see why you'd use anything else.
