I wrote previously about an EMCO-Meyer VMC 100 that I was purchasing. I
just got it and other than some shipping damage it seems to be brand new as
described and very nice looking. A very very well made unit. The problem is
that the "complete with manuals" amounts to some random bits of technical
documentation on this and some other random machines. Clearly the seller
made some assumptions about what was in these books and did not read them.
It is just a collection of xeroxed technical pages in random order.

I am feeling rather bewildered.. I thought that I could read a manual and
get something very basic working soon. I have no idea where to start. The
front panel looks like you can do almost anything with it but trial and
error could get me in a lot of trouble. It has a cassette for recording
programs and an rs232 but no info on how to use it or software.

The documentation also suggests that all emco machines are 3 phase but this
is marked 220 volts and the only hookup wire is connected as a single phase
with ground.

Please, someone who knows this machine, give me some good news on getting
documentation and basic user manuals. I am feeling a huge amount of buyer's
remorse.

Also it came with just one blank tool holder. It looks like a very clever
tool changer turret and the holders look relatively inexpensive. Any idea
on how to get some more?

I plan to call Meyer on Monday but would like to hear that all is not lost
before then.
