Well, I'm just about done with the meat of my Mill/Drill CNC
conversion project. I now have all three axes functional, and I'm
making chips in 3 dimensions!

There's a bit more to do, but it's not going to impede my ability to
cut metal. Namely:
* Create and install shielding for X and Y axis drive systems
* Install limit switches
* Minimize Z-axis backlash (will apply Dan Mauch's technique as
best as possible)
* Add slack adjster (idler on a rod?) to the Z-axis belt to ease
maintenance and blade changing

I've added a few more pictures to the "Jeff's mill/drill conversion"
photo folder, so feel free to ask any questions they might stir up.

To clarify a couple of potential questions, I used two old CD-
ROM external cases to house, cool, and power (5v) the driver
boards. I could only fit two boards per case, hence the two
cases. The Z-axis mount is bolted directly to the head. I drilled
and tapped two M8x1.25 holes in the head to mount it.

Best to all,

-Jeff
