address (an actual hardware port or not) match the value EMC thinks
means "not on the limit" and if there is one for a hardware e-stop
button (I forget if there is) "not pushed". You can change the
'sense' of these inputs in the .ini file. So it should be possible to
trick EMC into running without any hardware connected as long as the
value read from the port address is consistent. There are some IO
test tools built into the control panel in many versions that you can
use to see the actual state of the port bits.
