Re: Largest (in MB) and longest (in lines) G code file?

Recently, a lot of the mold cavities and electrodes that I have
created programs for have averaged 8-12mb in size. I had a pistol
grip that the surface model itself had 9600 surfaces. The G code
program for 1/2 of the model was 29mb.

In the past, I have crunched out some 100mb+ 5 axis milling prgrams.
As far as block count, I have no idea. We never use sequence numbers
as at that point, they are a waste of space.

The 100mb+ 5 axis programs were wrote to portable hard drives and
then plugged into a Bostomatic.

Now a days, we just hang the files on the network and DNC them into
the machine. With DNC, we can run as big a program as we have disk
space.
