I have thought controlling motors with a computer was among the sexiest things a nerd could do for a long time. While I have no clue what I'm doing (with the motors part, the sex part was easier than I thought it would be), I thought I'd try my hand at building a CNC router. I've been reading and taking notes and just when I think I have a grasp, I learn I have so much more to learn.
I know I'm not the only one in my shoes (that paints a picture doesn't it?) so I've decided to share my learning experiences with everyone. Point your favorite browser at http://www.reish.net/cnc_router
A few of you have already seen this and many of your comments and suggestions will be implemented in the next revision.
As a teacher, I know there are newbies out there who are too shy to ask questions so maybe this experiment will help us all learn a thing or two.
