hello;
since i have numerous e-mails concerning the archives asking questions
i need to clarify several things.
0. no i do not have the archive in html format. the archive is in
plaintext format only.
1. all e-mail addresses are stripped off by yahoo. no i cannot guarantee
that an e-mail address has not slipped past the onelist/egroups/yahoo
stripping program. no, i am not going to go through the trouble to check
38000 + messages for e-mail addresses.
2. the unzipped/untarred archive takes up about 200 megabytes of disk space.
3. yes i do have a subject to message number index file.
4. no i do not have an "edited" version of the archive. the messages are as
posted stripped of html and extraneous garbage. if a message is marked
missing it is missing from the onelist/egroups/yahoo archive as well.
5. i have no plans to make a searchable version of the archive.
6. no i do not need blank cdroms sent to me. i have spindles of 100 blank cdr.
7. no i am not 'selling' the archive. i am not out to make any money off the
archive. ( see item 10. )
8. no, i am not going to give out the shell scripts i have written to download
the archives. i do not have the desire or time to support the shell scripts
and programs except for my personal use.
9. no i will not be updating the archive weekly, monthly, quarterly, annually.
i update the archive when i feel like updating the archive.
10. a few of the e-mails just go to prove the saying:
"no good deed shall be allowed to go unpunished." :-(
