beginners instructions:

If you go to the groups home page you'll get info on lots of stuff
regarding yahoo and our group.

The brief search is,
go to the web page, ie: not e-mail
go to messages
note: upper right is groups home if you want that.
there is a spot on the right to put in your word(s)
click search
read the titles of the posts, look for subjects related to your topic
OPEN IN NEW WINDOW any posts you want to read.

note: yahoo will show search results for the first 50 hits OR the
first 1,000 or so messages it searches. this is not specific, it may
search 300 or 2,000 messages. I think it is connection speed and
system demand that regulates that. anyway....

In the upper left, of the message area, not the top of the screen is
PREVIOUS and NEXT hit them as needed to make CONTINUE searchieng
with your origional words.

NOTE: if you copy and paste a post into your word processor, use note
pad so it will strip off all html coding, or paste-special-text only.

and remember to keep the post number. if you copy a whole thread,
keep each post number.

Also, search for the term google and look for a title dealing with
searching the list using google.

I specifically wrote this long and detailed so this would NOT be
replied to. This is off topic and as we have recently had a number
of new posters, this (hopefully) will limit more non-topic related
questions.

I would recomend that from the web site, check all the links on the
left, files, photos, links that sort of stuff too.

if you have other questions that you are not sure about, use the
search method above and see if you can find an answer. if it takes
more than a few tries, reword your search. if you can't find
anything, ask, we as a group are a great resource. you'll get some
responses from people you would have to pay consulting fees to if
they were not so generous to us.
